Our Curriculum

At KIDS Place, we implement the Creative Curriculum, designed to support children through these crucial early learning stages. This curriculum aligns with Indiana’s Early Learning Standards, ensuring a strong educational foundation. Below is an overview of the core subjects integrated into our program:

English and Language Arts

Language development is one of the most significant milestones in a child's first five years. Our curriculum fosters essential early literacy skills, including print awareness, book exploration, writing, active listening, and verbal communication, laying the groundwork for strong language and literacy development.

Mathematics

Our mathematics curriculum incorporates engaging STEM activities, integrating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Science

Encourages children to explore and understand the natural world through scientific inquiry, nurturing their curiosity and developing essential investigative skills.

Social Studies

For infants and toddlers, learning is fostered through sensory exploration and the development of meaningful relationships. In preschool, our curriculum focuses on self-awareness and foundational concepts in social sciences, promoting a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Student Wellbeing

The role of child development in fostering relationships, resolving conflicts, and developing self-regulation is essential to a child's growth and overall well-being.

Approaches to Play and Learning

Supports the development of essential skills that enable children to plan, set and achieve goals, navigate conflicts, practice self-control, follow multi-step directions, and maintain focus.

Creative Arts

Creative arts serve as a vital outlet for children to explore and express themselves through a variety of engaging activities.

Physical Health and Growth

Active movement plays a crucial role in learning, allowing children to continuously develop and refine their sensory and motor skills.
